The Danish pay limit scheme’s minimum amount has been raised
As part of its annual regulation of the pay limit scheme’s minimum amount, the Danish Parliament has raised the minimum amount for foreign workers from DKK 408,800 to DKK 417,793.60. The new minimum amount is valid from 1 January 2018.
This means that a foreign national can receive a residence and work permit in Denmark based on the pay limit scheme, if the foreign national has been offered an employment with an annual salary of at least DKK 417,793.60 deposited to a Danish bank account.
Applications submitted earlier than January 1, 2018, must as a minimum comply with the previous amount of DKK 408,800.
Foreign workers who have obtained residence and work permits based on the previous amount may have their residence and work permit extended according to the previous rules, provided that the employment and the employment terms remain the same.
