Our Corporate department consists of highly experienced lawyers, each with expertise in various areas of law, allowing us to offer well-rounded advice and strategic solutions. The department is led by Dmitri Kolesnikov, a corporate law specialist with over 30 years of experience. His additional expertise in real estate and banking plays a crucial role in assisting clients with M&A deals and investment matters, especially in cases where real estate is a major asset.

The team also includes Anna Kosinska, an accomplished litigator known for her exceptional analytical and drafting abilities. Gunta Miltina, who manages all company registration procedures, also has specialized knowledge in regulatory law, providing comprehensive support to clients navigating regulatory complexities.

For cases involving wind farm acquisitions or investments in energy providers, Andris Strazds, our energy law expert, is integral to ensuring that all legal aspects of energy-related transactions are meticulously handled.

In 2024, our team expanded with the addition of two senior associates, Ieva Krasovska and Zane Ozola, both specialists in construction and procurement law. Their expertise will be instrumental in contract drafting and transactional matters, particularly in large-scale construction projects. Additionally, Zane Ozola, who is admitted to practice law in both Latvia and Germany, brings valuable experience from her time practicing in Germany, strengthening our ability to attract and serve German clients.

In 2020, NJORD’s Baltic offices adopted AVOKAADO software, an innovative platform for contract automation and knowledge management. Our Corporate department in Riga has fully embraced this technology, implementing solutions to automate routine corporate document processes, such as company incorporation, share transfers, amendments to Articles of Association (AoA), share capital adjustments, and drafting minutes for shareholder and board meetings. Our goal is to continue automating as much of the corporate and commercial drafting process as possible to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
