Laura Ozola acquired right to participate in the cases, concerning children and their interests

In this regard, we would like to inform that on 31.10.2017 the Legal Affairs Committee of the Saeima (Parliament) supported for the 3^rd reading in the Saeima amendments to the Civil Procedure Law, which, inter alia, provide that only attorney (sworn attorney-at-law or assistant to the attorney-at-law), who has acquired particular knowledge in field of protection of children’s rights, will be able to participate in court cases, concerning custody right and access right, including recovery of the child maintenance, and cases on approval and revocation of adoption, determination of the parentage of children, wrongful removal of a child across the border, and inheritance cases, where the heir is a minor person.
